Mumbai, Apr 21 (PTI) Both varieties of sugar continued its bearishness at the Vashi wholesale market here today on weak demand from stockists, retailers and bulk consumers.

Small sugar (S-30) fell by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 3,896/3,992 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 3,896/4,002.

Medium sugar (M-30) also eased by Rs 4 per quintal to Rs 3,946/4,162 as against Rs 3,950/ 4162 previously.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,896/3,992 (Rs 3,896/4,002).

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,946/4,162 (Rs 3,950/4,162).
