Mumbai, Apr 20 (PTI) Small sugar prices weakened further in an otherwise sluggish Vashi wholesale market here today on poor demand from stockists and bulk consumers.

While, medium sugar held steady in the absence of any largescale buying activity.

Small sugar (S-30) eased by Rs 3 per quintal to Rs 3,896/4,002 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 3,896/4,005.

Medium sugar (M-30) ruled steady at Rs 3,950/4,162 per quintal.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,896/4,002 (Rs 3,896/4,005).

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,950/4,162 (Rs 3,950/4,162).
