  • Edible, non-edibles decline on sluggish trade

Mumbai, Apr 18 (PTI) Groundnut oil prices dropped further in an otherwise sluggish Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on reduced demand from stockists and retailers.

While, refined palmolein slipped further owing to lack of retail buying support.

In the non-edibles, castorseeds and castoroil commercial declined further on subdued offtake from shippers and soap manufacturing units.

Linseed oil maintained a stable trend in absence of any worthwhile buying activity.

In the edible segment, groundnut oil fell by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 1,030 from Monday's closing level of Rs 1,040 and refined palmolein moved down by Rs 4 per 10 kg to Rs 548 as compared to Rs 552 yesterday.

Moving to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold eased by Rs 25 per 100 kg to Rs 4,825 from overnight close of Rs 4,850 and castor oil commercial went down by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 995 from Rs 1,000.

Linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 850 per 10 kg.
