New Delhi, Jan 11 (PTI) The Aam Aadmi Party today termed "unfortunate", the Supreme Court's rejection of a plea for a court-monitored SIT probe into bribery allegations against Prime Minsiter Narendra Modi, saying it was unacceptable that the "clean chit" was given without fair investiagtion.

"We expressed our disapproval with the order with full humility. Giving a clean chit without fair investigation would be unacceptable to people," AAP's Delhi unit convenor Dilip Pandey said.

The Supreme Court today rejected a plea for a court- monitored SIT probe into bribery allegations against Modi on the basis of documents seized during the raids in business houses Sahara and Birla, on the ground that they had no evidentiary value.

The case based on "random materials" like loose sheets, papers, e-mail print outs is "merit less" as they are "inadmissible materials" having "no evidentiary value under the law" to order registration of FIR and investigation, more so against the high constitutional functionaries, whose names are mentioned in the documents which has been held as prima facie "fabricated" by income tax settlement commission, the court said.

The AAP has been going hammer and tongs over the bribery allegations against PM Modi and party chief Arvind Kejriwal undertook several rallies over the issue.

The party is yet to chalk out a future course of action, following the apex court's order, which has ruled out any probe into the matter.
